So, my life has been super hectic lately. For organization’s sake, I’ll just list what’s been going on in my life as of late.
PRO: Just got elected President of Women in Communications today! I’ve also been nominated to be President of Visual Communications Society, and as of now I’m running uncontested.
CON: Sleep deprivation ensues…
PRO: I’ve gotten really good feedback on my work as UTM’s Engage Campaign Manager! I think the fliers/posters/web site looks really sharp. Shout out to Kady Elliott who designed the site, www.engageutm.com!
CON: My cell phone won’t recognize the charger anymore, and Verizon says it’s a hardware problem. So, I can’t has phone until May 11 when I can get an upgrade. I’m thinking about buying my own phone online and activating it myself…
PRO: Just bought some good music off of itunes: Old 97’s, Yael Naim, The Bird and the Bee, The Apples in Stereo…
CON: Less work being published in the Pacer lately.. mostly because of upperclassmen trying to get more stories and pictures published for their portfolios, which = less need for graphics.
Also, being asked to make more ads, which = more money.
PRO: Referendum to change the yearbook format is on SGA Ballot, and hopefully supported by the majority when in the chambers. I’d love to see it changed!
CON: Laura’s car battery is dead, which means she gets Eric’s car, and Cheryl get’s my car. Everything is difficult now.
PRO: No class Thursday because of the Communication Career Day.. yay! God does love me! Maybe I’ll even get a scholarship…?
CON: Missed the Women in Comm trip to St. Jude’s Friday because I accidentally set my alarm for PM instead of AM… and because I was planning to go on the trip, wasn’t prepared for class anyways, so still didn’t go… farther behind now…
PRO: No more SI Training sessions for the semester! Woohoo!
CON: I have a billion WUTM and language labs to make up… BLEH!
PRO: My mom doesn’t care if I come to her house to steal food, and will give me a bunch of furniture for FREE when I get my new apartment! Best Mom in zeh WORLD!
CON: Thinking I might have to drop MUS111 next semester, because if I don’t I’ll be way overloaded… as if I’m not already
PRO: Got University Directories Internship this summer! One week vacay in North Carolina for training, I get to stay in Martin all summer to work, make my own hours, and get paid commission! And it counts for college credit… baBAM, son! =]
CON: I’ve gained 20-30 lbs since when I was in shape last year this time. SAD FACE!
PRO: Engage’s group on facebook, VOTE ENGAGE, now has 40 more members than VOTE ACTION. hehe
CON: Prospective new Landlord has been treĀ“ sketchy… not answering phone or calling back, when we were supposed to meet yesterday and talk about signing a lease and paying deposit??? meh?
PRO: Helped Dylan super-clean and organize his room. For the first time ever, it’s somewhat cozy now!
CON: Now for my room…
PRO: One more month until Summer!
CON: I have so much work to do, I can’t think straight. Includes:
- World Builders Project; need to finish content, slideshow, art, practice…
- SGA Campaigns and Elections ><
- Voice and Diction Interview and Vocation Presentations next week.. still unprepared..
- Japanese speech contest at Vandy this saturday… yet to write speech or practice it, when I’d much rather be at BDX’s parkinglotapalooza instead!
- Three sections of Math homework to be done.. boo
- Viscomm brochure due next week, and I’ve only done the cover! AH!
- I’ve missed 3 SI Lecture classes in the past two weeks…
But, if I can just get through April… I’ll be fine. Luckily none of my Finals will be too difficult… no study intensive classes… YAY!
Baby steps…
Have a life, much?
, good luck with all this busyness!
Seriously, Jenn… spread yourself too much thinner and there will be a Jen-DeYeso-peanut-butter-like-spread splattered from one end of campus to the other.
I know it’s hard to say no when you are as good as you are, but learn how to at some point. I had to find a few things to quit just to stay sane when I was in the same situation as you are now. Burning out is no fun!
Any anyway, now that I’m done lecturing
